David R. Albrecht passed away January 12, 2025. Born in Portsmouth, Ohio on June 13, 1945 to John and Omega Albrecht.
Dave was a veteran of the USAF National Guard serving in Korea during the Pueblo crises. He was a graduate of Linden McKinley High School, The Ohio State University and Capital University. He was most recently the owner for 24 years of Openit Unlocking Service. He was an avid Ohio State football fan and was an usher on 5C at the stadium for 46 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Carolyn Smith and Sheila Weatherby.
Survived by sister Barbara Lamb (Neil) and brother Tom, special friends Dea and Don Weatherby and Jay Sturgill, daughter Liz Thomas, niece Carla Jacobs (Rodney), nephews Larry Smith (Susan) and Glen Smith.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 21, 2025 from 10am until the time of service at 12pm at Newcomer NE Chapel 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd. Columbus. Burial will follow at Mifflin Cemetery.
