David G. Corwin ObituaryDavid Corwin, 83, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Joan (Horvay) Corwin. Dave and Joan were high school sweethearts and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in April 2025.
David was born in St. Albans, New York on January 13, 1942, a son of the late Frank and Christine Corwin. He attended WAMOGO High School and graduated from Watertown High School before earning his degree in Business Administration from the University of Bridgeport. David's career spanned 30 years working for Phoenix Mutual Life as a Systems Project Manager. Following partial retirement from Phoenix, he worked for several years as a consultant in the Boston area.
Together with his wife, David was an active volunteer for the Goshen Land Trust where they set up and worked at the booth at the Goshen Fair and maintained trails on land trust properties. Dave was an avid square dancer with Joan, traveling all over New England to dance in their elaborate matching suits and dresses. Dave also served as president and treasurer for the square dance club. He was a devoted member of the Wapping Community Church in South Windsor. He served as President on several boards and volunteered on town committees in Milton, New Hampshire where he and Joan built their home on family lakefront property. David especially enjoyed camping in their motor home and treasured memories from a 6-week cross-country trip that the family took in 1982.
In addition to his wife, Joan, of Milton, New Hampshire he is survived by his son, Douglas Corwin, and wife, Cate, of Goshen; his daughter, Kimberley Corwin of Kelseyville, CA; and two granddaughters, Christi Corwin and Casey Lynn Corwin, both of Goshen. He was predeceased by his beloved parents.
