David V. Earick, of Erie PA, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2025 at PA Soldiers' and Sailors' Home. He was born September 28, 1958 in Erie, a son of the late Leonard and Lucile (DiFusco) Earick.
David attended St. Paul's and Sacred Heart grade schools and Cathedral Preparatory High School.
David earned a Bachelor of Science undergraduate degree from Gannon University; a Master of Science graduate degree from Gannon University; and a Certificate of Achievement in the field of Gerontology from Gannon University.
David proudly served in the United States Air Force and Army.
David loved learning and was an avid reader. He enjoyed bowling on school leagues at La Nuova Aurora and baseball. He found joy in vegetable gardening, outdoor grilling, music, action movies and traveling. He loved the Pittsburgh Pirates and took his niece and nephews to several games.
His pride and joy was his 1981 Toyota Celica Hatchback 2D GT.
David is survived by his sister Darlyne M. Nedresky and her husband Dr. Joseph P. Nedresky; two nephews, Peter E. Nedresky (Gabrielle) and Matthew J. Nedresky, and one niece, Dr. Lisa M. Adiutori (Vincent). He is also survived by great-nieces and nephews: Ava, Alexis, Cephas, and Solara Nedresky and Whitman, Everson, and Roquentin Adiutori.
Our family is truly thankful to Dr. Eric J. Milie, the nurses, the nurses aides, PT, OT and ALL the staff at PA Soldiers' and Sailors' Home for all their devoted, compassionate care and attention David received.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at St. Paul Church, 1617 Walnut Street from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass there at Noon. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., is handling arrangements.
