JOHNSONVILLE –
Tragically, our hearts were broken to learn on May 11, 2023, the death of David Matthew Fearnley, Sr., of Johnsonville, New York. He was 46 years young.
The son of Nancy (Lashway) Fearnley and the late Richard Fearnley, David was born on January 15, 1977, in Troy, New York. As a young child, David was raised in Wynantskill until he was about 7 years old. From age 7 until 21 David was raised in Berlin where he attended local schools and graduated from Berlin Central Schools.
A "jack of all trades" David was gifted with his hands and could accomplish any form of physical labor. He held many jobs over his lifetime from carpentry and construction, seal coating, and mechanical. His last employment specialized in restaurant equipment and supplies, working as a dough mixer technician for Precision North America (PNA) in Albany, New York.
David was passionate about engine repair mechanics and cars, a passion he passed down to his son Jordan. David's favorite car was an El Camino. He always wanted one in purple. But more than anything, David was cared most about his family and his children. He will be sorely missed.
In addition to his mother, David leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 26 years, Rose M. (Young) Fearnley, his children: David Matthew Fearnley, Jr., Kashamarie Lee Fearnley (Tyrique Warrick), Jordan Lee Fearnley (Cassandra Mackey), Ariel Marie Fearnley, Dawson Albert Fearnley and Jazalyn Nicole Fearnley.
David is also survived by his siblings: two older brothers, Ricky and Roger Fearnley, sister Patricia Maddigan, brother Roland Fearnley, and sister Jacqueline Stulmaker. David was Godfather to Destiney Fearnley, he was uncle to several nieces and nephews who survive. David is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins on both sides of the Fearnley and the Lashway Families.
David was predeceased by his father, Richard Fearnley on December 26, 2022.
Rose and Children have placed their trust into the care of The Riverview Funeral Home, Inc. to honor David's memory.
