David Stanley Frederick, a longtime resident of Danvers, MA, peacefully passed away on March 16, 2024 at the age of 75, with his loving family by his side. David was born on January 8, 1949, in Salem, MA to parents Stanley and Genevieve Frederick.
His life was a testament to the values instilled in him by his parents, values that he carried forward in his own family. He is survived by his wife, Ellen Frederick of Danvers, MA, and their children, Michael Frederick of Salem, MA and Lindsay Semas and her husband John Semas of Norfolk, MA. David's legacy includes his cherished grandchildren, Audrey and Gus Semas, who will forever hold dear the memories of their Dziadek.
David's educational journey began at John the Baptist Grammar School and continued at Bishop Fenwick High School and culminated in a Bachelor's Degree from Boston College. His academic discipline was evident in his professional life as he became a highly respected Certified Public Accountant and partner of the firm Carlton, Healy & Frederick in Marblehead, MA. His dedication to his profession and entrepreneurial spirit earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.
Outside the office, David's interests were as varied as they were passionate. In his early years, he was an avid tennis player, a member at the Beverly Tennis Club during the 1970s. David's love for the game was matched only by his love for camaraderie, as he enjoyed over 50 years of card games with the "Guts Guys," a group of friends who shared countless memories and laughter.
David's adventurous spirit led him to the casino tables and on travels to the Caribbean. He reveled in the beauty of islands like St. Thomas, St. John, Turks & Caicos, and Aruba, where the sun, sea, and sand were sources of joy and relaxation for him and his family.
David had a keen analytical mind, he was generous, and his thoughtful nature made him a trusted professional and friend. David will be missed by many and his memory will live on in the legacy he leaves behind.
Donations made in lieu of flowers will be used to honor causes important to David. The MSPCA-Angell: Northeast Animal Shelter, supporting animals in need and the SAFE Coalition, supporting those affected by substance use disorder and mental health concerns. (see the links below)

Worked with Dave for over 20 years, think i only met him once in person but we talked every year at his renewal. We talked about Vegas and the Caribbean more than business and our talks were so much fun and meant a great deal to me. He once cashed some casino chips for me that i had mistakenly brought home from a cruise. He will be missed and this is a very sad day for me and all those that knew him. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

David was a consummate professional. He was proud of the finished product and wanted to be sure you understood your return. He liked giving himself a grade which was a reflection of your own receipts and information. I can say with certainty that I grew with David´s care. Proof in the pudding was a 3 day audit by the IRS that ended with a $134 payment to Uncle Sam. Great job Dave. Thank you and may you rest in peace my friend. T. O. Johnson
