David left this earth peacefully to be with his Lord Jesus. He left behind his wife of 58 years, Cynthiann née Amos, his most precious sons, Jared (Tammy) and Nathan, granddaughter Ashley Rose Glardon, great-granddaughter Adalyn Rose, granddaughter, Brittanni Spiedel, and great-grandchildren Riker, Jack, and Blake.
David was born in Denver, Colorado to Zella and Elisha Glardon. He was raised on a farm northwest of Brighton, Colorado. He attended Mountain View Country School through the 8th grade. He finished his schooling in Ft. Lupton and graduated in 1964. Dave was drafted into the US Army in 1965. He spent his two years stateside.
He and Cynthiann moved to Longmont in 1968, where he began his career in road construction, beginning at Flatiron Paving, and retiring from Asphalt Specialties in 2013. During Dave's 45 years of working road construction, he met and worked with a lot of people! He had great respect for everyone he worked with, and genuinely liked all of you!
He was diagnosed with rigid Parkinson's Disease in 2019.
Throughout his life he never gave up his love for the farm. He always had a little bit of dryland wheat growing somewhere.
He began to build his 1931 Chevrolet five-window coup hot rod while in high school. It was finished in 1985.
David was a loving husband, Dad, and Gramps. We will miss him always.
He is also survived by two sisters, Martha Quenzer (Ken), Arlyne Glardon, Sister-in-law Barbara Glardon, Brothers-in-law John Amos (Anna), Lyle Amos (Shirley), and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James L. Glardon.
David was buried in a private graveside service in Fleming, Colorado on April 09, 2024.
