William David Kensinger, 75, Seymour, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born November 22, 1948, in Springfield, Missouri the son of the late Wm. Howard and Estlee G. (Siler) Kensinger. He was united in marriage November 26, 1971, in Mansfield, Missouri to Vickie D. Findley. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
Dave graduated from Rogersville high school, went on to college at SMS before being drafted to serve our county in Vietnam. Following his return from Vietnam, he worked at General Electric as a supervisor before starting his lifelong passion of being a dairy farmer for 35 years. During that time, he was owner and established Memory Lane Dairy in Fordland along with his wife Vickie and three kids, he was proud of the hard work ethic he instilled in his kids. Every fall he enjoyed a pheasant hunt with his buddy's. He was a good, honest, hardworking, and fun-loving man as well as a loving husband, dad, and grandpa and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Vickie; two sons, Luke Kensinger and his wife Leslie, and Paul Kensinger and his wife Beth; a daughter, Holly Hensley and her husband Clyde; four grandchildren, Collin and wife Morgan, Everett, Eva, and Brody; three brothers, Jamie Kensinger, J.C. Kensinger and his wife Barb, and Ronnie Kensinger and his wife Carol; a sister, Sharon Lambeth; and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2024, at J.D. Lee and Sons Funeral Home, Rogersville.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 19, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial with full military honors will follow at White Oak Cemetery, Rogersville.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Disabled American Veterans at www.dav.org.
