David William Lawver, a loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, departed this life on May 6, 2025, at his residence in Waldron, Indiana.
David was born February 8, 1940 to the late William and Martha (Lacy) Lawver. He married Truman Annetta Calvert on September 1, 1961, and they enjoyed 64 years together. David was a hard worker and a good provider who dedicated many years of his life to the Ford Motor Company before his retirement in 2005.
David's dedication was not just limited to his work and family, but also extended to his hobbies and interests. He was a member of the Model T club and Church 52 on Brookville road, and had a particular fondness for watching Gunsmoke.
Survived by his wife, Truman Annetta Lawver, his children; David Lawver Jr., Troy Alan Lawver, Jeffrey Glenn Lawver, and Lynette Dawn Justice, grandchildren; Gabriel Weightman, Abram Weightman, Joel Justice, Ryan Lawver, Kyle Lawver, Tara Lawver, Troy Lawver Jr., Kelsay Hopkins, Caitlin Spears, Hannah Lawver, Grant Lawver, and Olivia Lawver, and his siblings; Phyllis Darnell, and Janice Stewart. David's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those he loved.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at 1:00pm at the Van Pelt Cemetery, Waldron, Indiana, 46182.
