Steven Michael Lawver, age 70, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025, at his cherished home on Hubbard Lake -- a place that brought him peace, joy, and countless memories.
Steve was one of those rare souls who truly lived. He was fun-loving, compassionate, endlessly generous, and full of spirit. His laughter was contagious, his presence comforting, and his heart wide open to the people he loved. He was a devoted father, a loyal friend, and someone who made life feel like an adventure just by being in it.
He had an unstoppable curiosity and passion for motion--motorcycles, boats, road trips, and fast cars. A master mechanic and test driver, Steve spent his career at Chrysler, where he was known not only for his technical expertise but for his deep understanding of how a vehicle should feel on the road. He didn't just fix cars--he built them from the tires up, pouring love and precision into every bolt. Even in retirement, that passion never faded. Speed, freedom, and craftsmanship were in his bones.
But more than anything, Steve loved his family. His two daughters, Chrissy (Lawver) Lundgren and Megan Lawver, were his pride and joy. He loved them fiercely, stood by them always, and left them with a lifetime of memories filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
He leaves behind not only the roar of engines and the wake of his boat on the lake, but a legacy of joy, kindness, and living life on your own terms. He was one of a kind--and he will be missed beyond words.
