Our family will always remember David 's humor, spiritual soul and help to our family. We love his family and were honored to know them . Our boys were good friends.(especially Andrew and Brett and Matt and Joe). The friendships really helped. I remember him as a Bishop, Stake President and fellow actor in Carpinteria Ward's ' The Best Christmas Pageant Ever ". He taught by his immense knowledge and example. Thank you forever. He was supported by his delightful wife, Aliece.

I had the blessing of living in Carpinteria and having David as a Bishop, Stake President and dear friend. My family was the recipient of many of his homemade games and trivia. He was always ready and knowledgeable to answer any Gospel question or help recall any Ensign talk when needed. For a brief period of time I worked in his law office. One day he called me into his office and as my Stake President called me to be a seminary teacher for Carpinteria Ward. I told him I couldn´t do that and work in the office too. He immediately said with a smile, "Then you´re fired." We laughed and I did quit the job and taught Seminary! I loved David and honor his memory and legacy!! Trudy Olmstead
