David was born August 10, 1951, in Dennison, Ohio. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Waldo and retired from Deltic Timber. David loved working in his yard, gardening, and spending time with his family.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Mitchell and Pauline (Johnson) Conners, and a sister Charlotte Hall. He is survived by his wife Juanita Mitchell of Waldo; son David Andrew Mitchell, Jr. and wife Ginger of Plain Dealing, Louisiana; daughter Sandra Shanks of Magnolia; grandchildren, Zach and Katie Phillips, Damian and Timberly Richards, Jacob and Kimber Richards, Zachary and Courtney Camp, Sean and Julia Camp, Dean Mitchell, and Avery Mitchell; great grandchildren, Karsyn Richards, Jeremiah Richards, Elodie Richards, Olivia Richards, Addilyn Richards, and Henry Camp will arrive in June; and sisters, Jean Crabtree, Gladys Lemin, and Lorraine Young.
Visitation with the family will begin at 9:00 am on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Lewis Funeral Home in Magnolia with a graveside service to follow at 11:00 am at Shiloh Cemetery in Waldo, Arkansas with Bro. Zach Phillips officiating. David's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
