David A. Pacoe Obituary David Andrew Pacoe, 59, of Lititz, Pennsylvania died at 1:58 a.m. Thursday, September 12, 2024, in a motor vehicle crash. He was born March 19, 1965, in Butler, Pennsylvania and was the son of the late David G. and late Marianne (Smith) Pacoe.
David was a 1983 graduate of Butler High School, attended Westminster College and Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and was a Baltimore County Police Department (BCoPD) academy graduate in 1988. David worked as a Baltimore County Police Officer until retiring in October of 2015, specializing in crash reconstruction, while serving on the BCoPD Traffic Team. He excelled as a Police Officer, receiving many awards and was highly respected in his field.
During his time as a Police Officer, he unfortunately witnessed the darker side of police work investigating fatal traffic accidents which left him suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) that consumed him to the point that his daily life was filled with many ups and downs. He tried to function in a "normal" state of mind; seeking professional treatment, but in the end his mental health deteriorated such that he isolated himself from loved ones.
David was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguins throughout his life. He enjoyed attending his children's sporting events and tried to be the best father he could. He is survived by his by former wife, Stacey (McMullen) Pacoe, his daughter, Samantha Pacoe, his son, Tyler Pacoe, of Bel Air, MD., his brothers, Michael J. (Tracy) Pacoe of Fairmont, W.Va., Mark R. Pacoe of New York, N.Y., and Darrell R. Pacoe of Butler, PA; along with many nieces and nephews.
PACOE – David will be cremated at Raffeo-DiCecco Memorial Home, Inc. 19 East Germantown Pike, Norristown, PA. There will be a small service for immediate family members only.
Donations may be made in memory of David A. Pacoe to the Harbor of Grace National Law Enforcement & First Responder Wellness Center, 437 Girard Street, Havre de Grace, MD. 21078.

I worked with Dave at Tessco. He was a fun but took his job as facilities manager and head of security very seriously. If you ever had a problem, Dave would find a way to fix it. He will be greatly missed.

I worked with Dave at Tessco Technologies, he was a fun person to talk with. Always had a smile . He took his job as facilities manager and security very serious. I could always depend on getting something fixed, even a small as adjusting the temperature in the office. I will miss him greatly

The best times with my brother is when we attended IUP and lived in the dorms I believe it was the 1988/89 school year. We had a lot fun but partied way too much.... Mom and Dad were not happy with us that year . I hope you can finally rest easy. I am so sorry how things turned out.
