David P. Roark, age 70 of Holts Summit, formerly of Linn, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025, at his residence.
David was born August 17, 1954, in Chamois, a son to the late Richard and Betty (Benson) Roark.
He attended school in Linn and spent his life in the construction industry.
On August 16, 2024, he was united in marriage to Vickie Carter in Linn. She survives at their home in Holts Summit.
David was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed motorcycles, fishing, and music.
In addition to his spouse Vickie, he is survived by: two sons, Jim Roark and his wife Lacey of Westphalia and Matt Roark and his wife Rochelle of Loose Creek; six brothers, Richard Volkart of Linn, Dennis Volkart of the State of Georgia, Jimmy Volkart of Linn, Leland Roark of Brazito, Dallas Roark of the State of California, and Robert Pearon of Linn; one sister, Jeannie Roark of Linn; four grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila Roark; one brother, Tom Roark, and one sister, Debbie Scheulen.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Morton Chapel in Linn with a Celebration of Life Service be held at 11:00 a.m. with Randy Miser officiating.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
