David Jerrod Scales was born on August 26, 1965 in Stuart, Virginia to the union of Walter Scales Sr. and Brenda Clark. He departed this life on Thursday, January 18th, 2024, at his residence in Madison, Tennessee.

David was employed for a number of years as a Forklift Driver. He enjoyed relaxing loved footfall (Redskins die-hard fan), golf, fishing, Nascar, wrestling, and listening to music. He was a man of a quiet disposition, soft spoken clever, and very knowledgeable on many subjects and a wonderful, devoted husband, an outstanding father figure, and cherished grandfather (Papa).


David was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Clark Scales, and his father, Elder Walter David Scales, and brother, Johnny Scales.


David leaves to cherish his memories, devoted wife, Tina Renee Harris Scales, daughter, Brynda Hyde, son , Omar Strickland, (2) devoted sons, Anthony Jones, Darron Carney, (4) donated daughters, Keisha Davis , Reisha Carney, Channel Darden, Chante Darden, (2) devoted son-in-laws, Sentelle Mustin, and Jade Holliman, (10) grandchildren, Rihanna Davis, Jayden Jones, Dyson Darden, Key'Anthony  Jones, Key'Shawn Jones, Ayden Darden, Anthony Jones Jr., Raegan Davis, Zoey Holliman, and Josiah Holliman, and a host of cousins, other family, and friends.
