Dave was born December 30th, 1960 in St. Joseph to Adam & Erna (Wokeck) Sing. He graduated from Lakeshore High School, Class of 1980. Dave devoted his working career to the auto body industry to say the least. He worked at a number of local body shops - Sink, Lakeshore, Walsh, Skinners, Touch of Class and retired in 2018 as a master auto body technician from Tapper Chevrolet in Paw Paw. He could straighten anything out of whack, and paint and shine anything dull and ugly. Cars were his passion, he saw potential in things that no else could see. He was so very proud to pass this onto his son, David along with their love for Mustangs.
Dave attended the First Church of God in St. Joseph and looked forward to the Christmas Eve Candlelight Service every year with his family. He also cherished the time he had watching his brother, Richard preach sermons at Twelve Corners Community Church. He counted his blessings daily, especially his two kids and four granddaughters. They were the twinkle in his eye and the smirk on his face. In his free time Dave enjoyed boating, fishing, even tubing and water skiing on Lake Michigan, you could find him at "Dave Sing Cove" along the lake shore. Grilling on the back patio, telling stories of his past shenanigans, and eating fried green tomatoes were his favorite times. He had a plate for anyone who would stop by to say hello. He looked forward to seeing the animals at the Berrien County Youth Fair, attending car shows, and running into old pals from the past. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Dave is survived by his children - David A. (Calley) Sing of Watervliet, Nikki (Kirk) Morris of Buchanan; four granddaughters - Kali & Caitlyn Morris, McKenzie & Marleigh Sing; his former past spouse Bonnie Craig; his brother Larry (Kim) Sing of Allegan; his sisters-in-law Julie Sing and Cindy Sing; and numerous nieces & nephews. He was always known as either Papa or Uncle Dave to all the kids, related or not. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Margo Sing and two brothers - Ted & Richard Sing.
