Howland, Ohio - David Matthew Terrill, age 47, died at his home on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. He was born on August 5, 1977, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Sheila Ann (Martin) and Chester Niles Terrill, Sr. Formerly of Kinsman, Ohio, Dave was a 1995 graduate of Joseph Badger High School. Dave was a member and longtime altar server of St. Patrick Catholic Church of Kinsman, Ohio. He was a Boy Scout, where he became a member of the Order of the Arrow and earned his fifth year Pipestone at Seven Ranges Scout Camp in Kensington, Ohio. Dave was artistic and enjoyed painting, playing board and video games, listening to music, and watching movies. He also loved football and was a diehard Cleveland Browns fan. Dave served honorably in the United States Navy, spending over a year of his four years of service at sea. It was in the Navy that Dave began his career in electronics, maintaining avionics systems on helicopters. He later became an electronics technician maintaining equipment that built computer chips and, most recently, medical equipment. Dave is preceded in death by his dad, Chester; and his grandparents. Survivors include his beloved daughter, Alyssa Jayne Terrill of Williamsfield, Ohio; his mom, Sheila of Cochranton, Pennsylvania; and four brothers, Clark I. (April) Terrill of Cochranton, Pennsylvania; Nathan S. Terrill of Middlefield, Ohio; Chester N. (Jessica Nowak) Terrill, Jr. of Monroeville, Pennsylvania; Ryan T. (Sarah) Dunnigan of Eldridge, Maryland; three nieces, Sophia and Lilli Terrill, and Jaime Dunnigan; and nephew, Riley C. Terrill, US Navy. A private burial was held at Kinsman Cemetery. A Celebration of Dave's Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Akron Children's Hospital. Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service of Kinsman, Ohio, handled the arrangements.
