Neil A. Bakos, age 64, of Bristolville, OH, died Thursday, March 20, 2025, in Kinsman, Ohio. He was born April 12, 1960, in Warren, Ohio, a son of Eugene J. and Doris J. (Hillyer) Bakos. Neil was a 1978 graduate of Joseph Badger High School. Following high school Neil was employed by Target Stamped Products in Kinsman. He moved on out west and began his lifelong work with race horses. Neil went to Texas to attend horseshoeing school so that he could become a farrier. For many years following his schooling Neil traveled around caring for horses. Before moving back to this area he had been a resident of Minnesota for over twenty years. He had a lifelong love of horses, enjoyed reading, and was a Cleveland Browns fan. Neil is survived by his sister, Eugenia (Thomas) Twitchell of Bristolville, Ohio; his two brothers, Jeff (Beth) Bakos of Vernon township, Ohio, and Bobby (Tammy) Bakos of Gustavus township, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and several great-great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents. No service will be held. Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service,Kinsman,OH, handled the arrangements.
