David E. Winters, 74, of Pittsburgh, was born December 13, 1950, in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the beloved son of the late DAVID Winters and Delores Nowlin, Grandson of the late Pocahontas White, as well as husband of the late Roselyn Norris Winters.
David attended and graduated from Wilkinsburg High School in Wilkinsburg, PA.
He held several jobs throughout his life, including at US Steel and truck driving, which he had a tremendous love for. David was also a beloved Jitney driver in the Pittsburgh area. David had hobbies, including collecting cars and trucks of all kinds. He enjoyed riding motorcycles in his younger days and had a love for roller skating. David would skate for miles from city to city, and of course, driving trucks and old-school cars was also a hobby he loved dearly. He was a photographer and a fan of the martial arts. He would develop his pictures in his basement and would watch Bruce Lee movies all day if he could.
David departed this life on June 7, 2025, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with his son's Brandon and Devin, holding his hand as he transitioned. He was preceded in death by his mother, Delores Nowlin; father, David Winters; grandmother, Pocahontas White; and wife, Roselyn Norris Winters
David is survived by his two sons and three stepchildren
Brandon Winters and Devin Winters, both of Pittsburgh, Milton Norris(Summayah) of Clairton, PA, Erica Cheadle of Glassport, PA, and Lance Cheadle of Homestead/Munhall, PA. David also leaves to mourn a special cousin whom he grew up with Keli Evans. As well as 24 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, of which he was extremely proud of. And nieces, nephews and extended family, and friends.
