David L Wright

David Wright, 73, of Spokane Valley went to his forever home on October 3, after a long battle with heart failure. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Hospice House of Spokane for their excellent care.

Dave loved life to its fullest. He was an automotive mechanic by trade until he was medically retired 20 years ago. He loved to travel, fish, hunt, and play cards, but the passion of his life was playing music. He always had a guitar in his hand and was ready to play and sing. He belonged to the group Bluegrass Conspiracy, which played all over the Pacific Northwest. Members of the group even traveled together as snowbirds to Arizona. He also belonged to the Old Time Fiddlers Society, playing many venues around Spokane. Dave could remember every song without hesitation, singing his heart out.

Dave is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lorraine, his son Ashby and daughter Janyne. He was preceded in death by an infant son, his daughter Christy Wilson, and son-in-law Michael Wilson. They have 3 grand children and one great grandson.

Join us for Dave's last jam on November 25th at 2pm at the Central Grange 7001 Bigelow Gulch Rd. There will be lots of music, food, and remembrances.
