Dawn Carter Obituary
Dawn Stapleton Carter, born April 20, 1976, passed away at 5:34 PM on July 3, 2024, after fighting a battle of leukemia.
She is survived by her father, Bruce Stapleton Sr.; 4 children, Kaylee (David) Gill, Austin Clark, Damion (Dennisha) Gossett, Nichole (Austin Currier) Gossett; sisters, Mary Lou Snack, Susan (Tom) Dunn, Nancy (Eddie) Campbell, Pam Lunsford, Amanda Watkins, Michelle (Loius) Zinser; brothers, Ted (Julie) Campbell, Richard (Debbie) Campbell, Bruce Stapleton Jr,; grandchildren, Gabby Gradert, Rachel Gradert, Kayden Gheen, Carter Gill, Ariella Gill, Cody Gill, Leo Gill, Dallas Clark, Raelynn Clark, Bentlee Clark, Kaden Clark, Keyara Clark, Analise Gossett, Aubreia Gossett, Dominic Gossett, Detrei Gossett, Daegon Gossett, and Malaki Currier; her very best friend/sister, Krystyna Bradshaw; lots of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Janet Flowers Stapleton; husband of 19 years, Robert Carter III; grandparents, Phyllis and Thomas Stapleton, Harvey and Edith Flowers; and grandson, Landon Gradert.
Per Dawn's wishes, no calling hours or services will be held. A caring cremation will be held at this time through DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help the family with funeral expenses.
