Dawson N. Mohl, 24, of Bern Twp., passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024.
Born in Reading, he was the son of Ronald A. Mohl and Priscilla M. Conrad-Mohl. He graduated from Schuylkill Valley High School in 2018; and attended 1 year at Shippensburg University. Dawson worked as an apprentice II on his way to becoming a journeyman at UGI, Frackville, for the past 2 years. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 160, Leesport, and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout; He had attended Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, Leesport. He was a member of Reading Liederkranz, volunteering for ground maintenance; Perry Twp Game Associates; and Deer Lake Fire Company. He served as the secretary of UFCW Local 570C. Dawson was a member of the Schuylkill Valley Swim team in high school competing on the county, district, and state championship teams; and was a member of Shippensburg Swim team during his time there. He was a true "Renaissance man," an adventurer and explorer, enjoying reading, listening to stories of history, camping, hiking, kayaking, fishing and hunting. He was quick-witted; always ready with a joke or rib on his good friends and coworkers. While working for UGI he would occasionally explore the coal mine shafts underneath Pottsville. He will always be remembered as a humble, compassionate, loyal, and gentle soul. To his parents, Dawson will always be their "little man with a BIG Heart."
Surviving in addition to his parents is his paternal grandmother: Theresa A. (Whelan) Mohl, widow of Arnold R. Mohl, Dillsburg; maternal grandparents: Carol A. (Ebling), and Ronald Burns, New Castle; Aunt Debra and Uncle Fred Parlee, West Nantmeal, and Great Aunt: Marlene Schlimme, widow of Henry, West Nantmeal, Aunt Kimberly (Mohl) and Guy Cerro, St. Pete, Florida; Aunt Karen (Mohl) and Rodney Nesmith, Mechanisburg, PA; Uncle Scott Conrad and wife Jodi, Pittsburgh, PA. He is also survived by his cousins: Matthew H. Nesmith, Jessica L. (Hollinger) Ebersole, and Robert S. Hollinger; and his extended "Newfy," Canadian family.

Ron, Priscilla and the entire Mohl family. We are heart broken over the loss of Dawson. He was certainly a bright spot for our family. Our 'Second Son' as I called him and that group of guys that were best friends through school. He was our son Ben's best friend. We will miss his loud "howdy" when he came walking into our house to visit. Prayers are with you now. He will forever be our Angel.

Our sincere sympathy to Ron and Priscilla at this shocking time of loss. Words are just so hard to express the loss we are feeling at this time. Such a sweet boy that has left us far too soon. Our love and prayers for God's comfort to you.
