Dayne Gerald McLean, 32, of Estero, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 25, 2025. He was born on April 7, 1992, in Rochester, Michigan, to Duane M. and Susan M. (Crump) McLean.
A proud graduate of Texas Tech University, Dayne earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Sciences in 2015. Dayne dedicated his life to helping others. He worked for Catholic Charities and most recently served as a Sensory Motor and Cognitive Coach at Brain Balance in Naples, where he had a profound impact on the young lives of those he helped.
Dayne was a faithful child of God and a true believer in Christ. His faith was a guiding light. He lived with a sense of purpose and conviction, seeking to reflect Christ's love in his actions and words. His faith in Jesus Christ gave him peace, even in times of difficulty, and it is this faith that will continue to inspirit those who knew him.
He touched the lives of all who knew him with his warm and kind spirit, offering unconditional love and support to his family and friends. As a son, he was a source of pride and joy, always showing deep respect and love for his parents. As a brother and uncle, he brought laughter, compassion, and a sense of togetherness, always there to lend a hand or a listening ear. His friendships were meaningful, and he was a true companion, offering kindness and loyalty without hesitation.
Dayne was a man of many passions. Some of those being gaming, cooking, fishing, archery, and guitar. He had an almost childlike affinity for the spirit of Halloween. Dayne also had a deep affection for animals, always offering his care and attention to any creature that crossed his path. He is survived by his parents, Duane M. and Susan M. McLean of Estero, FL; his brother, Jayme McLean of Olathe, KS; his sister, Kayla (Matthew) McLean-Edwards of North Richland Hills, TX; his girlfriend, Samantha Martinez of San Antonio, TX; as well as his nieces, Mia Edwards and Lacy McLean, and his nephew, Tanner McLean.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Light Catholic Community, 19680 Cypress View Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33967. At a future date, Dayne will be laid to rest at Van Hoosen Jones Stoney Creek Cemetery, Rochester Hills, MI.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dayne's name may be made to the Gulf Coast Humane Society, 2010 Arcadia Street, Fort Myers, FL 33916.

My deepest sympathies to the family. I knew Dayne from working with him at Target & he was so hardworking & one of the sweetest people I've came across. His personality always lightened any room he walked in & I'm going to miss him. He is now in a better place. Take care. Erika Cruz

My heart goes out to Dayne´s parents and siblings. I´ve only known Dayne a short time, but could tell what an amazing young man he was. We worked together at Target. He had such a caring way with everyone he encountered. He will be greatly missed. Katie Hayes
