Deborah Levine Obituary
Debi was a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, and grandmother (Nana). She was a talented ballroom dancer and enjoyed crocheting, reading, and spending time with nature. A compassionate and empathetic listener, she had a gift for helping people understand and work through life's challenges. Debi earned a Master's Degree in marriage and family therapy, taught child and adolescent development at East Carolina University, and maintained a private counseling practice. Debi touched the lives of many and will be remembered for being a bright, genuine, kind and generous person.
Debi was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Irene Bock Labas, brother Daniel Labas, sister-in-law Lori Dovgan, brother-in-law Dennis Levine, and nephew Nick Labas. She is survived by her husband, Gary Ira Levine, MD, of Greenville, daughters Arielle Dozier (Scott) of Raleigh, NC, and Katrina Perry (Dean) of Cary, NC, granddaughters Madelyn and Lillian Dozier and Isla Perry, sister Donita Grady (Francis) of Rocky River, OH, brother David Labas (Robin) of Mantua, OH, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will welcome visitors from 5:00-7:00 pm on Friday, December 19, at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Greenville, NC. Interment at Raleigh Memorial Park in Raleigh, NC, will follow on Saturday, December 20, at 11:00 am.
