Debra Sue Bodeen

Debra S. Bodeen, 69 of New Windsor, died on Saturday, September 14, 2024, with her family at her side. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at the Colona American Legion from 11 AM to 4 PM. Private family burial will be in the New Windsor Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family or the New Windsor Fire Department. Speer Funeral Home, Aledo is assisting the family.

Debra Sue was born on July 8, 1955, in Rock Island, Illinois to William Edward & Beverly Mae (Durham) Johnson. She married Ronald Bodeen on October 22, 1988, in New Windsor, Illinois. Debra was previously married to Larry Burgmeier and Richard Hannah. 

Debra’s most important job was being a wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished her family and loved baking or crocheting for them. Angels and nutcrackers were something she was always searching for and loved to collect. In her spare time, she worked for Andrea’s Pizza in Alpha and cleaned houses.

Debra’s memory will be honored by her husband, Ron; Children: Michelle (Brad Bowers) Hannah; Bobbie (Wayne) Cunningham; John (Nadia Shumber) Hannah; Shawn (Breana) Burgmeier and Lori (Robert Costner) Hall; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
