Debra Jo "Debbie" Harris Brooks

Debra "Debbie" Jo Harris Brooks, 59, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away on May 31, 2025.
Debbie was born on July 20, 1965 in Kansas City, Missouri to Dr. Winfred Don and Peggy Harris. She was a beloved wife, mother, Gigi, sister, and friend whose life was marked by compassion, faith, and a deep commitment to helping others.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Doug Brooks; her four children, Christopher Marshall (Ashton), Rachel Shearer (Joshua), Kristen White (Mike), and Courtney Zupancic (Ryan); her siblings, Tammy Moore (Keith), Kendall Harris (Cynthia), and Kyle Harris (Amy); her cherished grandchildren Emerson, Elizabeth, Bodhi, and Osler White.
Debbie graduated from Texas Women's University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Therapy followed by a Masters of Science degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1990. Debbie was the proud owner of Brookway Counseling. She was deeply dedicated to her patients, offering guidance and care with extraordinary empathy and professionalism. Her calling to help others was evident in every aspect of her life - Debbie would do anything and everything to help someone in their moment of need.
Debbie's love for her family and for the Lord was the cornerstone of her life. Her strength, joy, and unwavering faith touched everyone who knew her. She brought light and laughter to all around her, especially her children and grandchildren, who were the center of many of her life's greatest adventures.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 12:30 p.m. at Cross Church Springdale, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with interment immediately following at Shady Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Amazon Ministries International (P.O. Box 88, Elm Springs, AR 72728 or Paypal @amazonministries) or Cross Church, two organizations close to Debbie's heart.
