Della Lucille Thompson

Della Lucille Thompson, "Lucy", age 48, was born in Dahlonega, Georgia on February 27th, 1974. Lucy departed this life on May 11th, 2022, due to an extended illness and declining health.
Lucy attended Gainesville City School Systems and obtained her GED. She worked various jobs but spent majority of her life working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Nursing Homes and providing home health care. This was a fitting career for her because she loved helping others.
She was a member of Hickory Grove CME Church. She was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured all six of her children and made the most of every moment with them. She loved having all her kids together.
Lucy was a loving, caring, and uplifting person, who never met a stranger. She always did what she could to help others. She had a lively personality that made others laugh, she made friends everywhere she went. Some friends so close, they felt like family.
Lucy touched the lives of everyone she knew. There was always a sense of hope in the sparkle of her beautiful eyes. She is preceded in death by her grandmother Nina Marie Price.
She is survived by and leaves to cherish her memories to her mother, Shirley Thompson, sons: Joseph Thompson of Norcross, Judah Bailey, and Jaydon Bailey of Gainesville, her daughters: Jasmin Gaudlock, Justine Gaudlock, Emily Bailey all of Gainesville. Seven grandchildren: Elias Smith, Levi Smith, Nyla Thompson, Noel Espinoza, Joshua Canup, Delilah Wofford, and Joseph Thompson Jr.. Special uncle Dean Thompson, and a host of friends and family.
