Deloris Roberta Wilson

Deloris Roberta Wilson, 71, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away Friday, May 26, 2023 at her home. She was born in Miller County, Missouri, on July 21, 1951; a daughter to Ethel Crismon.
Deloris attended and graduated from Vienna High School. She continued her education at Nichols Career Center where she earned her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) degree. Deloris was a natural born caregiver to her core. She began her nursing career at various nursing homes in the area as well as providing home healthcare. She dedicated a majority of her career to the Fulton State Hospital where she retired from after 20 years of service.
Deloris enjoyed many things in life; some of her favorite hobbies included sewing, quilting, and singing. Every Saturday night for many years, she sang along to the Grand Ole Opry with her son, Lonnie, and daughter-in-law, Lana. She was an avid Royals fan and loved watching NASCAR, cheering for Chase Elliott and Joey Logano. Deloris was a member of Capital City Church of Christ, where she was very active and enjoyed spending time with her church family. Most importantly, Deloris loved her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by those who know and love her.
She is survived by her mother, Ethel; son, Lonnie (Lana) Wilson; grandchildren, Valerie (Kala) Thompson, Robert Herman Jr., Adam Meisel, and Carly Meisel (Joey Burris); great-grandchildren, Daxton and Lynnea Thompson; sister, Janet (Leonard) Cook; special aunt and uncle, Darlene and Donald Crismon; close cousins, James Wilson and Debbie Hollis; beloved cat, Buttercup; along with a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister, Anna Jean; grandparents, Fred and Sadie Crismon, and Frankie Dake and Leonard Wilson; step-father, Charlie Belk; close family friend who she cared for, Leroy Sommerer; and beloved cat, Socks.
Friends will be received on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Capital City Church of Christ. A Memorial Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Evangelist Brandon Stevens officiating.
