Delphis Thomas Lannan, aged 63, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025, in Evansville, Indiana, embraced by the love of his family and the memories of a life joyfully lived. Born on September 24, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois, Delphis was a man whose kindness and passion for the outdoors left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Delphis grew up in a bustling household, the cherished son of the late Curtis and Jeanette Lannan. His life was enriched by the bonds with his siblings, and he is lovingly remembered by Donna (Richard) Daugherty, Darlene (Paul) Fuhriman, Debbie (David) Kissel, and his twin brother Dale T. (Martha) Lannan, as well as Derald (Karen) Fehrenbacher. He was preceded in death by his brothers Dennis, Clifford, and Donald Fehrenbacher, whose memories he held close to his heart.
A proud graduate of Central High School, Delphis carried the spirit of his education throughout his life, approaching each day with curiosity and enthusiasm. His big heart was evident to all, and his generosity knew no bounds. Delphis found joy in the simplest of pleasures, and his love for the outdoors was unparalleled. He could often be found with a fishing rod in hand, patiently waiting for the next big catch, or riding his bike and scooters, feeling the wind on his face and the freedom in his soul.
An avid metal detectorist, Delphis delighted in uncovering hidden treasures, a hobby that mirrored his ability to see the value in every moment and every person. His gentle spirit and infectious laughter were a treasure to his family and friends, and his absence will be deeply felt.
Delphis's legacy is carried on by his long-time companion, Linda Thacker, who stood by his side through life's many adventures. Together, they shared a love that was evident in their mutual respect and unwavering support for one another.
As we bid farewell to Delphis Thomas Lannan, we celebrate a life lived with genuine warmth and a deep appreciation for the world around him. His memory will continue to inspire us to embrace life's simple joys and to always keep our hearts open to the beauty that surrounds us. Delphis's journey through life was a testament to the power of love, family, and the great outdoors. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
There will be a graveside service Friday at 12pm on February 14th at Sunset Cemetery at the Butterfly Garden. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Delphis, please visit our floral store.

Delphis and Linda were our neighbors. My son and ex husband LOVED fishing with Delphis. Fish fry´s and BBQ´s almost every weekend. Delphis loved life and the outdoors. His heart was as big as his collection of antiques/random finds.
He will be truly missed.
