Denise C. Krienke, 71, of Rockford, IL passed away at her son's home on Friday, June 10, 2022. She was born November 12, 1950, in Rockford, IL the daughter to Clara (Schiavinto) and Peter DalPra. Denise attended St. Patrick grade school and Muldoon High School, graduating in 1969. Denise married the love of her life, Richard Krienke. She worked as a hairdresser for many years and was very active in her children's scouting and sports. Denise had a kind, gentle spirit and would help anyone. She was a second mother to all her sons' friends. Denise was an amazing cook and loved having everyone together for a special meal. She was a longtime member of the Venetian Club and St. Bridget catholic Church. She will be forever remembered as a loving wife, mother and noni.
Denise is survived by her sons, Matthew (Mariah) Krienke and Nicholas Krienke; grandson and best buddy, Nicholas Krienke; sister, Clarice (Michael) Cook; brothers-in-law, Melvin "Larry" (Maxine) Krienke, David Krienke, Randy Krienke; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; special friend, Joseph Partipilo. Denise is predeceased by her parents; husband, Richard; brother, Dennis DalPra; and sister-in-law, Vickie Krienke.
A gathering will be held Thursday, June 16, 2022, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Cremation rites entrusted with Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
