Pickerington, OH-Denise R. Scaduto, age 62, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Mount Carmel East Hospital in Columbus.
Born October 31, 1961, in Warren, she was the daughter of the late Donald R. and Mary Jean (Prior) McKnight. Denise was a 1979 Graduate of Joseph Badger High School and later earned her Bachelor of Science Degree at Youngstown State University, graduating in 1985. She also went on to earn her Certification in Medical Technology and for 24 years, Denise worked as a Medical Technology Lab Supervisor at Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, OH.
On October 25, 1986, Denise married the love of her life, James Scaduto. They had shared 40 years together.
She was a true "people person" who cherished every interaction with those around her. During her lifetime, she found joy in simple pleasures such as tending to her beautiful flowers and gardens. Her green thumb and love for the outdoors could always be seen in the vibrant blooms that surrounded her home. Additionally, Denise had a passion for baking and cooking for friends and family with delicious treats made from the heart.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, James Scaduto; son, Ryan Scaduto; brother, David (Monica) McKnight; nieces and nephews, Elizabeth (Carl) Lahti, Kurtis (Kaitlin) McKnight and Ian (Toni) McKnight; one great niece, Rory Lahti.
A graveside service will be held Monday, April 8, 2024, at 10AM at Kinsman Cemetery, Church Street Kinsman, OH 44428.
