Dennis Duane Franks, age 67, of Wooster, entered into rest, reunited with his parents and sister on July 26, 2024 at Wooster Community Hospital following an 11 year battle with cancer surrounded by those who loved him.
He was born on August 10, 1956 in Wooster to Howard Russell and Wynona Corrine (Pfouts) Franks and was a lifelong resident of Wooster.
He married Cheryl Ann Wyatt on April 14, 1981 in Overton, Ohio.
Dennis previously worked for Lytle Construction of Wooster for 15 years. He later became owner/operator of D&C trucking for the remainder of his career.
He was a huge fan of Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns enjoying them almost as much as he enjoyed deer hunting. Dennis was fond of all things Harley, but especially motorcycle trips with friends and his wife.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 43 years and children Jody (Chris) Swickard of Columbus, Angela (Steve) Ross of Orrville, Stephanie (Matthew) Long and Bryor (Megan) Franks of Wooster; grandchildren Lily, Christian, Kylie, Mackayla, Brantley, Sloan, Alexandria, Conner, Cooper and Cuyler. Brothers, Russ (Jill) Franks and Doug (Candy) Franks all of Wooster and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Franks.
A celebration of his life will take place on August 10th from 5-10pm at American Legion post 68. All friends and family are welcome.
