Dennis Stewart Gudmundsen of Queen Creek, AZ passed away on January 20, 2025 after battling Pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP) cancer for more than two years. Dennis was born August 22, 1968 in Midland, MI, son of Stewart Lagrande Gudmundsen and Patricia Ann (Watts) Gudmundsen. He married his sweetheart Lori Cowles on May 1, 1997 in the LDS Washington DC temple. He received a masters in accounting from Brigham Young University. His career took him to work with companies in Michigan, Utah, Illinois, Iowa, Delaware, Wisconsin and Arizona.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Lori, son Alexander Gudmundsen, mother Patricia (Watts) Gudmundsen, sisters Jenny Gudmundsen Griffes (David) and Kirsten Gudmundsen Peless (Harry), brother Gary Gudmundsen (Sarah), brother-in-law Jon Alexander and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Stewart Gudmundsen and sister Lisa Gudmundsen Alexander.
A devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Dennis served faithfully in various capacities throughout the years. He served in his community as well in various capacities including Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, the Kenosha Band Boosters and supporting youth sports. He served a 2-year mission for his church in Denver, Colorado.
He loved to travel to support family in their milestones and activities, rarely missing a birthday or graduation. Dennis loved to camp, golf and listen to music.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30am on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 1700 W. Sugnet Road Midland, MI. Friends may visit with the family from 9:30am to 11:00am at the church. A graveside service at Midland City Cemetery will immediately follow the services at the church.
