Dennis Eugene Pettit, 72, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025 in West Union, Ohio. He was born February 10, 1953 to the late Eugene and Nola (Young) Pettit in Maysville, KY. He began working at Emerson in Maysville, KY in 1973 and worked there for 39 years until his retirement in 2012. Dennis loved fishing. On any given day you could find him fishing somewhere. Whether it was on a Jon boat with his sons, a riverbank, or a youth fishing tournament with his grandsons, if there was fishing.he was there.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother- in-laws, Jerry White and Danny White.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Pamela (White) Pettit. Sons, Ryan (Lindsey) Pettit of Franklin, OH and Chris Pettit of Nevada. One stepson, Michael (Emily) Holbrook of West Union, Ohio and one stepdaughter, Michelle (Stephen) Wilson of Ripley, Ohio. Father-in-law and Mother-in law, Jack and Eleanor White of West Union, Ohio. One brother-in-law, Henry (Sharon) White of Seaman, Ohio and one sister-in-law, Theresa White of West Union, Ohio. Grandchildren, Kylie Pettit, Kierstin Marie, Darrion and Zaylie Pettit, Jada Pettit, Brystal Logsdon, Lance (Kira) Holbrook, Savannah Holbrook (Christian), Sadie (Jake) Holbrook, Nicholas (Keara) Wilson and Luke Wilson. Great-Grandchildren, Weston, Sapphire, Emmy, Jaylen, Atticus & Callahan, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 11:00 AM, until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Wilson Funeral Home, 35 W. Second St., Manchester. Pastor Johnny Jones will officiate. Burial will follow at Kirker Cemetery in Liberty Township.
