Derin Wayne "Roho" Hickmon

Funeral Services for Derin Wayne "Roho" Hickmon will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 11:00 am in The Chapel at Conroe Funeral Directors with Pastor Jerry Uriarte officiating. Interment will follow at Willis Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Derin was born on March 27, 1967 in Conroe, Texas to Columbus and Geneva Hickmon. He passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at his home in Willis at the age of 57.
Roho's greatest joy in life was his family. He held a special place in his heart for each of them, and family gatherings were always filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. He cherished a good home-cooked meal and never passed up the chance to fire up the grill for an outdoor BBQ with family and close friends.
Known for his outspoken nature, Roho had a remarkable sense of humor that was always right on cue. He had a way of keeping everyone entertained with his quick wit and larger-than-life personality.
Roho found peace and happiness at the lake, especially when he was out on his boat with a fishing pole in hand. His love for the open road led him to spend many years as an 18-wheeler driver, and he also took pride in working alongside family at Adamick's Wrecking Service.
Above all, Roho lived life to the fullest, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love that will never be forgotten. Above all his sweet smile and kindness will be missed.
Roho is survived by his loving family: Children, Julia Garcia, Sara Price, Wesley Miles and wife, Jessanne, Whitney Miles and husband, Winston, Weston Young, Wykeena Young, Dusty Bishop and DD Burchell; Grandchildren, Skilah, Nicholas, Disyn, Jr., Skye, Grace, Xavier, Carter, Issac, Madison, Wesson, Anthony; and so many others that he dearly loved. Sisters, Darlene Hickmon, Cynthia Evans and husband, James, Jeanette McDaniel and husband, Scooter and Ruby Miles; Brothers, Gary Hickmon and wife, Sandy, Frank Hickmon, Charles Hickmon, and Bo Hickmon; Best friends: Pepper Gibbs and wife, Renee, Budder Wood, Johnny Adamick, Sr., Felix Snoe and wife, Susan, Frances Phillips, Charlie Wood and Jay Tackett (deceased). His love for his family was evident in the special bond he shared with his nieces and nephews, who will forever remember his playful nature and endless encouragement.
Roho was predeceased by Daughter, Cinnamin Hickmon; parents, Columbus and Geneva Hickmon; brothers, Junior Hickmon and Kenneth Hickmon; sisters, Marilyn Elaine Hickmon and Marilyn Diane Hickmon, Patsy Brooks and Sue Holloway and husband, David; sisters-in-law, Tracey Hickmon and Suzi Hickmon; and brother-in-law, Rick Early.
Pallbearers will include: Wesley Miles, Bo Hickmon, Winston Cordova, Weston Young, Artiest Phillips, Larry Gibbs, Billy Gibbs and Manny Gibbs.
