DeUnna (Dee) Evans Taylor, 56, of Jesup, GA passed away on January 4, 2023, at HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, FL surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 14,1966 in Jesup, Georgia to the late, Ruby Taylor and Eddie B. Evans, Sr. She was educated in Wayne County and graduated from Wayne County High School in 1984. Her work history comprised of Job Corp in Brunswick, GA for many years, Wayne County Child Support Office in Jesup, GA and Gateway Mental Health in Hinesville, GA, before her health began to fail.
DeUnna loved her boys dearly and always spoke of them as if they were still her little babies. Her favorite hobbies were reading and helping others wherever and whenever possible. She loved The Lord Jesus Christ and believed in prayer at any and all times. She was excited and so looking forward to the birth of her first grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Taylor and her father, Eddie B. Evans, Sr.; Grandmother, Edith Turner; Siblings, Shirley Cobbs, Rufus Dickens, Brother-in-law, Sherman Cobbs, and Aunt, Bessie Evans.

Many nieces and nephews. A special niece who was right by her side during her trips to and from the doctors and hospital stays in Savannah, GA and Jacksonville, FL, Shirelle Williams. She, also, had a special bond with her nephew, Bobby (B.G.) Guyton, Jr., who was like another son to her.
A memorial service will be held in her honor on Saturday, January 14, 2023, @ 1:00 p,m, at Turning Point Worship Center, 1810 S. Palm St., Jesup, GA 31545.

I met Dee in our 8th grade home room. It was an easy friendship and soon we considered ourselves family, no could tell us we weren't sisters! Graduating high school took us in different directions but our sisterhood was always there . It didnt matter if it was months or years between phone calls...often talking for hours to "catch up" on life. We often went through the same experiences at the same time. It was uncanny how often that happened. We entrusted all of our secrets to each other. Reminiscing, laughing and even when experiences were painful to recall we always got back to laughing! Recently promising to take a trip together after we both left hospital life behind...again always doing things together. I will forever miss my sister..my friend, but i know you are with God. Love you always!!
