Dolores Moore, 96, of Hamilton Township, passed away peacefully at her daughters' home in Lawrenceville on Monday, October 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 1, 1929, in Trenton, NJ and raised in Ewing NJ, she had a sister and 2 brothers she was very close to. She graduated from Trenton Central High School and started working for Bell Telephone as a switchboard operator.
Dolores married William J. Moore and together they had 9 children who she loved more than anything else in this world. After raising her children, she returned to the workforce, contributing her skills at both Educational Testing Service in Princeton and Helene Fuld Medical Center. She retired from Helene Fuld Medical Center and went on to work part-time at various positions.
Dolores' faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was a devoted member of New Testament Baptist Church for many years. Her passion for spreading the word of the Lord was evident as she selflessly learned American Sign Language to minister to the deaf congregants, a reflection of her loving heart. She always had words of encouragement to uplift those in need.
Predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Julia (DeSantis) Barone; her brothers, Ralph Barone and Bob Barone; and her sister, Florence (Barone) Stewart. Also predeceased by her husband, William J. Moore, and treasured children, David W., Arlene, William J., and James W. Moore. Dolores leaves behind a loving legacy. She is survived by her daughters, Lorraine and Karen Moore; her sons, Glenn Moore and his partner, Kathy Miller, and Mark and Paul Moore. Additionally, she is remembered fondly by her dear family friend, George Hunter, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members, who cherished her deeply.
Private graveside services for Dolores were held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton, NJ.
As we remember Dolores Moore, we celebrate a life marked by kindness, faith, and an enduring commitment to God and family. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
