Don “Butch” Evan Lambert, Jr., age 66, of Marion, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Mission Hospital in Asheville.
He was born in Concord, North Carolina on November 24, 1958 to Joyce Furr Foster and the late Don Evan Lambert, Sr.
Butch was a graduate of the North Carolina School for the Deaf, an accomplishment that he was very proud of. He formerly was employed at Drexel Furniture. Butch held a special place in his heart for animals, often sharing a bond with them that illustrated his compassionate nature. He was a man of simple pleasures; he enjoyed admiring cars, with a particular fondness for Fords. A cherished aspect of Butch's life was the time he spent sharing good meals with those he loved. Butch's greatest pride came from being a grandfather, a role that brought immense joy and fulfillment to his life. He will be dearly missed.
In addition to his mother, Joyce Foster, he is survived by two children, Jessica Hollifield (Paul) and Chad Lambert (Shaddoe); one grandchild, Sophia Lambert; three siblings, Greg Lambert (Joyce), Robin Taylor, and April Sanz (Terry); and a special uncle, Delmar Kennedy.
A gathering of family and friends held to celebrate Butch’s life will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory.
2170 Rutherford Rd, Marion, NC 28752
