Donald Kieran McIntyre, 94, passed away on May 2, 2024, after a period of failing health.
Don was born on December 30, 1929, to Kieran and Elinor McIntyre (nee Jenkins) in Cleveland, Ohio.  He was a 1948 graduate of Shaker Heights High School and received his degree in business from Kent State University in 1952.  He managed Trumbull Plumbing and Heating Supply, in Akron, for many years.  In 1988, he relocated to Florida where he managed Gorman Company.
Don was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying his annual fishing trips to Kipawa, Quebec, with family, friends and Boy Scouts of Troop 118.  He and Carol traveled extensively throughout the U.S. in their RV.  Other activities he thoroughly enjoyed were boating, bowling, golfing, playing cards and rooting for Ohio State football!
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brother Bruce and his wife, Carol.  He is survived by his children David, Lynn and Tom (Diane); beloved grandchildren Christopher (Jami), Bryan (Amber) and Taylor; and great grandson, Archer.
The family would like to thank the staff of Brunswick Pointe and the Thomas P. Perciak Family Residential Hospice for their compassionate care.
Per Don's wishes, he will be cremated with a Celebration of Life to be held later this summer.  Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home (330) 535-9186
