Donald Edward Pasour, born on August 24, 1942, in Gaston County, North Carolina, passed away suddenly on January 18, 2025, at CaroMont Regional Medical, surrounded by his loving family. He was a cherished member of the community and a proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Don enjoyed a fulfilling career, retiring from Freightliner after many years of dedicated service. His professional life was marked by hard work and commitment, but it was his family that he considered his greatest accomplishment. He is survived by his loving children, Donald Joseph "Joe" Pasour (Becky), Wendy Christopher (Steve), Kelley Cutwright (Tim), and Sara Elizabeth "Beth" Hudson; and the mother of his children, Kay Friday Bradley. Don was a proud grandfather to eleven grandchildren: Kasey Pasour, Genny Branch (Jon), Justin Branch (April), Katie Meredith (Jamie), Cody Smith (Cheyenne), Shane Pasour, Bradley Pasour, Mickey Hudson (Brooke), Shelton Hudson (Kamaree), Corban Macemore, and Cayden Burke, as well as fourteen great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy.
A charter member of Parkwood Baptist Church, Don's faith was central to his life. He found great comfort in reading the Bible and attending church services, drawing inspiration from spiritual leaders like John Hagee. His warm personality and faith-based values touched the lives of many.
In addition to his spiritual pursuits, Don relished spending time with his family. He had a passion for fishing, old cars, and racing, hobbies that reflected his zest for life. His ability to share these interests with his children and grandchildren created lasting memories that will be cherished by his family for generations.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, John Wilkins Pasour and Sara Fox Hoffman (Fred).
A graveside service will be held in his honor at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery in Dallas, North Carolina, This gathering will provide an opportunity for family and friends to reflect on his life and the impact he had on all who knew him.
