Donald J. Spano, 87, of Bethlehem Township, formerly of Allentown, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Country Meadows. Born on March 24, 1938, he was the son of the late Rose (Saccocio) and Andrew Spano. For 61 years, he was the loving husband of Mary Jennifer (Hamill) Spano.

Don was a proud graduate of the Citadel. He went on to work for Austin Company in NJ and finished his career as a civil engineer for PPL for 22 years. After retirement, Don volunteered at AARP where he was a regional manager, and he was also Judge of Elections for Lehigh County. He was an avid fisherman, big Mets fan and world traveler. He enjoyed bowling, handball and coaching his children's Little League teams. He loved and adored his family and will be greatly missed by those who loved him.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Jennifer Spano; daughter, Coletta Bodnar and her husband, Stephen; sons, John Spano and his wife, Linda, Michael Spano and his wife, Jody and Kevin Spano; sister Carol Spano; grandchildren, Tyler, Nicholas, Jacklyn, Patrick, Christopher, Evan, Evelyn and Samuel and great-grandson, Caiden. He was also an uncle to 12 nieces and 2 nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org or to the Blood Cancer United, formerly The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society, www.bloodcancerunited.org
