Donata Semenaro Arada, 89, of Lincroft, New Jersey passed away on October 10, 2024 in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her loved ones.
Donata Arada was born on April 7, 1935 in Nueva Ecija, Zaragoza in the Philippines. She raised her children in Angeles City, Philippines and moved to New Jersey in 1998 to help raise her grandchildren. Donata was a loving mother 'nanay' to five children, grandmother 'apu' to 12 grandchildren, and friend to all. She devoted her life to taking care of her family and cherished talking with friends. You could always find Donata sitting in her big sofa chair greeting everyone that entered her home. She always wanted her house full of people, she loved being surrounded by friends and family. She enjoyed watching her Filipino shows, eating home cooked meals, and sitting outside on the deck when the weather was nice.
Donata is survived by her three children, Crispin Arada, Noel Arada, and Marissa Arada. Eleven grandchildren, Charina Haynes, Clarissa Lyn Dizon, Christine Joy Dizon, Eric Dayag, Ayjilon Arada, Alvin Arada, Aziel Arada, Arianne Arada, Sidney May Marjamaa, Taylor Marjamaa, Sky Marjamaa. Six Great Grandchildren, Jorina Haynes, Matthew Dizon, Rania Al Ali, Abudi Al Ali, Raya Al Ali, and Adam Al Ali.
She is predeceased by her spouse, Arthur Arada. Two children Luz Dayag and Melanie Dizon. Grandchild Jester Dizon. Her parents, Gertrude and Maximo Semenaro. And her five siblings, Ingga Semenaro, Ipang Semenaro, Sario Semenaro, Idot Semenaro, Ador Semenaro.
A funeral mass was held at St. Mary's, Mother of God church in Middletown, New Jersey on October 19, 2024 at 10 am.
