Donna J. Wescott

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donna Wescott on Monday, September 1, 2025, after a brief illness.

Born on August 18, 1951, in Lawrence MA, Donna was the beloved daughter of Clarence and Dorothy (Curtis) Wescott. She grew up in Newington, CT, and graduated from Newington High School in 1969. Donna went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Science Education from Keene State College in 1973. Committed to lifelong learning, she pursued multiple advanced degrees-earning Master's Degrees in Biology and Earth Science as well as in Administration from Central Connecticut State University, and a Master's in Health Education from Southern Connecticut State University.

Donna dedicated 36 years of her life to education, working as a science teacher in the Enfield, CT school district until her retirement in 2009. During her tenure at Enfield High School, she also served as Department Chair for both the Health and Science departments, mentoring students and colleagues alike with her passion for teaching.

In addition to her work in education, Donna was deeply involved in the family business, Facet-Nating Gems, which she co-owned with her parents for 20 years. Together, they traveled across the country collecting and crafting gemstones, creating and selling unique jewelry at shows and events.

Donna enjoyed cruising the world with her parents, cousin, and close friends. In her later years, she lived in Windsor, CT, and at Covenant Living in Cromwell, CT.

Donna was predeceased by her parents, grandparents, and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by her aunts Carole Drury of Brook Park, OH, and Bertha Tower and her husband George of Lakeland, FL; and her uncle Carlton Croteau of Keene, NH. She also leaves behind many cousins, including Kevin Croteau and his wife Sharon of Winchester, NH; Gary Croteau and his wife Kim of Swanzey, NH; Teresa Perry of Framingham, MA; and Cathy Croteau of Nashua, NH.

Donna's family will receive family and friends on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 12pm-2pm, at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave, Windsor, CT. The interment will take place 11am, on Monday, September 8, 2025, in Ridgewood Cemetery, 177 Salem St., North Andover, Mass.
