Donna Rae Womble of Ironton, Missouri passed away at her home on October 6, 2024, at the age of 78 years. She was born January 13, 1946, in Ironton, Missouri the daughter of the late Ray and Ruth (Lewis) Harris Ricketts.
On August 27, 1966, she was united in marriage to William Raymond Womble who proceeded her in death on June 24, 2020. To this union two sons were born: Timothy Shawn Womble and wife, Michelle of Farmington, Missouri and Craig Ross Womble of Middlebrook, Missouri. In addition to her sons, Donna is survived by her sister, Dottie Goodman and husband, Dean of St. Louis, Missouri, her grandson: Tyler Womble and two step grandchildren: Ashley Kloth and Craig LaChance as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Donna was a 1964 graduate of Ironton High School. She attended Southeast Missouri State University and then she went on to school to become a legal secretary. In 1976 she became the Associate Circuit Court Clerk and worked with numerous judges and attorneys throughout her career until her retirement in 2008.
In her younger years she enjoyed playing softball, golf and bowling. She was a former member of the Arcadia Valley Country Club and a current member of the Arcadia Valley Elks Lodge and the Arcadia Valley Eagles. She loved to play cards, especially poker. She also liked to play bingo, and she loved her trips to Las Vegas.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. from Bryson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ryan Nichols officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Arcadia Valley Elks for the Coats for Kids fund. Memorials may be left at the funeral home.
