LOUISVILLE - Donovan E. Meredith, age 84,
passed away at Baptist
East palliative care on
December 7, 2021.
Don was a graduate of
Southern High School,
class of '55, and attended
the University of Louisville. He spent most of
his career in a field that
he loved working in Supervision Services for Hays Automotive.
Don was passionate about his family. He was
an avid University of Kentucky fan and also loved
fishing, music, and golf. He was a member of
Midland Trail and Wildwood Country Clubs.
Don was preceeded in death by his parents,
Gladys and Elmer Meredith. He is survived by
his loving wife of 64 years, Sue; three children,
Lea Ann Johnson, Chris Meredith (Marilyn),
and Kim Kearschner (Howard); five grandchildren, Eric Johnson, Travis Meredith, Kerry Kearschner, Conner Johnson, Madison Kearschner;
one great-grandchild, Lennox Johnson, and his
beloved dogs, Jackson and Jelly Bean. The family
would like to thank his caregivers Nicole Craig
and Shenita Usher.
Visitation will be at Ratterman Funeral Home
on Shelbyville Road in Middletown on December 10 from 4-8 p.m. A celebration of life will
be held on Saturday, December 11 at 10 a.m. at
the funeral home with entombment to follow
at Resthaven on Bardstown Road. Expression
of sympathy may be made to St. Jude Children's
Research Hospital. Condolences may be shared
at www.RattermanBrothers.com.
