Dr. Christopher Anthony Lucca, age 63 of Yardley, PA passed away peacefully on Friday, June 28, 2024 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA. Born in Philadelphia, Dr. Lucca resided in Yardley and Falls Township since 1982.
He was a graduate of Archbishop Neumann High School and LaSalle College. He received his Master’s Degree from Duquesne University and his Ph.D. from Temple University. Christopher was employed as a psychologist with the State of New Jersey Department of Corrections for 35 years. He was a member of the Yardley Friends Meeting where he was very active in their fundraising, and also served as the Clerk of the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting. Christopher had been a Boy Scout, Eagle Scout, and a Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow. He continued to be active in scouting, serving as a mentor to many young men. Dr. Lucca enjoyed taking trips to Beach Haven on Long Beach Island with his family and friends. He loved volunteering for Bucks Food For Friends, and took great pleasure in reading and watching vintage movies, his favorites being the Marx Brothers.
Son of Joseph and Mary (Volpe) Lucca of Westville NJ, he is survived by his loving wife Karen M. (Unis) Lucca, two sons Christopher Anthony Lucca, Jr. ( and Adriel Wallick) of Altadena, CA and Nicholas David Lucca (and Georgia Merkx) of Yardley, two brothers and sisters-in-law Joseph and Annamarie Lucca of Sewell, NJ and Marc and Yvonne Lucca of Merion Station, PA, two brothers-in-law Mark and Paul Unis, three sisters-in-law Linda Fiedler and Patricia Fulginiti, Joy Unis, and seven nieces and nephews, Joseph and Kristen, Julian, Shannon and Sean, and Matthew and Katie.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his services on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 1 PM at the Yardley Friends Meeting, 65 N. Main St., Yardley, PA 19067.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider making a memorial contribution, in Dr. Lucca’s name to Bucks Food for Friends, treasurer, 1 Atkinson Lane, Newtown, PA 18940
