Wood River:
Duane Allen Thomas, Jr., 74, passed away at 7:22pm on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Alton Memorial Hospital. He was born on December 17, 1950, in Denver, Colorado, the son of the late Duane Allen and Mary (Kohls) Thomas, Sr. He married the former Linda Clark on September 27, 1975, in Las Vegas, Nevada, and she survives. Other survivors include two sons and daughters in law: Jason and Hilma Thomas of Upland, California, Marc and Sammie Thomas of Wood River, six grandchildren: Cameron, Sarah, Conner, Chloe, Joshua, Stella, two sisters and brothers in law: Kathie and Dave Carter of Reno, Nevada, Linda and Joe Carter of South Carolina, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Duane was formerly employed as an auto technician at Rotolo Automotive. He enjoyed woodworking. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, Duane was preceded in death by a brother: Mike.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Private inurnment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the 5A’s.
