GRIMSHAW, Dustin James - Age 33, of Vassar, formerly of Fenton, died May 23, 2024. Funeral services will be held 11AM Friday, May 31, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will be held from 3-8 PM Thursday and 10AM until the time of service Friday. Dustin was born October 2, 1990 in Pontiac, the son of Timothy and Wadeana (Cochrane) Grimshaw. He was a 2009 graduate of Fenton High School and a 2013 graduate of Grand Valley University. He continued his education at Grand Valley to become a Physician Assistant, graduating in 2017. Dustin was employed by AMD Urgent Care in Clio, where he was a passionate, caring Physician Assistant that would do anything for the health of the people he treated. That was the nature of his heart and soul. He had also worked for Covenant MedExpress in Frankenmuth. Dustin loved the outdoors. He had several passions & hobby’s that he loved to do with his family and friends. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing, archery, snowboarding, trail riding and many road trips on his motorcycle. His love of riding and working on motorcycles and quads, was apparent to all, as he was always tinkering and tuning. Some of the best memories of Dustin were spent riding quads on the annual trips to Silver Lake Sand Dunes, Baldwin, the UP, and down south. He and the love of his life, Shannon had recently purchased their first home on 40 acres, complete with a deer sanctuary. This was one of his proudest accomplishments. Dustin is survived by his parents. Tim and Wadeana Grimshaw; brother, Cody (Meghan) Grimshaw; fiancée, Shannon Sheckler; his beloved niece and nephew, Raegan and Mason Grimshaw; grandmother, Wanetta Cochrane; aunts, Tina Cochrane and Lori (James) Hutchison; many cousins, great-cousins, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dean Cochrane, Dorothea and Tony Grimshaw; uncles, Gil Cochrane and Dennis (Joanne) Cochrane; cousin, Rob Cochrane.
