Dwight Alexander Emerson, 68, of Louisville passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Baptist Health Louisville.
He was born on October 19, 1956, in Louisville, KY. Dwight was the beloved son to the late Garrette Alexander Emerson and Wilma Cecil Emerson. Gary and Wilma's devotion to him was evident in their unconditional love and support throughout his entire life.
Dwight was a 1975 graduate of Trinity High School and was a member of St. Leonard Catholic Church. He was a former driver for Miller Oil, Flagship Transportation and owned Emerson Construction.
Dwight is survived by his sister, Beverly E. Hampton (Albert) who's unconditional love and unwavering support were a constant blessing in his life along with his nieces, Monica Cooper (Brandon) and Melanie West (Mark), great niece and nephews, Isaac, Ian and Elijah Cooper and Isabella and Jack West and many extended family members and friends who will forever
hold his memory in their hearts.
The family extends their sincere gratitude to Ratterman's Funeral Home for their compassion and guidance.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Leonard Catholic Church, Louisville, KY.
