Earl "Mac" McCallon

Earl R. McCallon III, known and loved as "Mac" passed away peacefully Thursday, October 2, 2025 at the age of 77. He was the beloved husband of Jan Nell Fiegenschue McCallon; father of Brian Michael McCallon and Brett Davis McCallon (Jennifer); and the grandfather of Mae Marie McCallon. Born in New Orleans, LA to the late Dr. Earl R. McCallon Jr. and Marjorie Richards McCallon. He is also survived by his sister, Sharon McCallon Cage (Roy).

Mac attended St. Martin's Episcopal School in Metairie before attending Loyola University and graduating with a Juris Doctor degree from Tulane University Law School. He served in the U.S Air Force from 1971 until 1972 during the Vietnam War. He had a successful career as a petroleum landman until his retirement. He was active with the Tulane Greenbackers booster club and the Deutsches Haus in New Orleans, and attended First Presbyterian Church in Hammond, LA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Garden of Memories Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive Metairie, LA 70001 on Tuesday, October, 14, 2025.
