Eddie Joe Trogdon passed away on August 25, 2022 due to his declining health. His siblings and niece where by his side.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virginia Corkren and Delbert Trogdon, step-father, David Corkren, his sister, Wanda Juleen Trogdon and brother, Kevin Wade.
Eddie was born on November 10, 1959 in Springfield Missouri and lived in Springfield most of his life. Eddie joined the United States Navy after his graduation from Strafford High School in 1977 until he was honorably discharged in December 1983.
He worked as a dedicated laborer at various companies. He enjoyed playing baseball, fishing and camping until 2001 when a couple of unfortunate accidents occurred that was a result of his paraplegia.
He loved reading, word games, cooking and listening to music. He would often quote many song lyrics in reference to everyday life. His wit and great sense of humor will be missed by all who were fortunate to meet and get to know him. He was a kind, generous soul who did what he could to help family, friends or even a stranger. He cared about others so much, he elected to be an organ donor and was able to help many others!
Eddie is survived by his siblings, David Trogdon and wife Carol, Brenda James and husband, Richard, Pam Rohrer and husband, Fred, Tammy Wade, Shane Corkren, step siblings, Randy Corkren and wife Bonnie, Scott Corkren, Sharon Corkren, Leita Sanders and many nieces and nephews.
The Heavenly host will now comfort Eddie and ease his pain with God s grace for all eternity.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 1, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East from 10:30am-11:30am with funeral services following at 11:30am. Military Honors at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery will follow at 1:00 pm.
